Damper Clamp
In need of a damper clamp? Its' the safety clamp that keeps the damper from fully closing & is a safety code requirment in may areas when gas is supplied in wood-burning fireplaces. The flue's damper is required to be permanently locked open by home inspections for fireplaces with gas logset.
Damper Clamps are installed on the fireplaces' damper blade. Should there be a natural gas leak in the firebox area, or if the the gas supply is accidentally turned on, the gap provided by the damper safety clamp allows the natural gas to raise up & out the chimney. |
